Enjoying Ch Oc O La Te

HaPpY VaLeNtInE's DaY!

Not necessarily a Valentine's Day post, sort of fits being about chocolate and love though.
Every year for our birthdays, Dave and I get a gift certificate of sorts from Gastronomy (i.e. Market Street Grill, New Yorker, etc.). It's good for $25 off an entree with the purchase of another of equal or lesser value . . . totally worth it in my book!
We rode out Dave's certificate to the very last day of validity, not by choice. The man was crazy working his mini, part-time job at the hospital whenever they would give him a shift. Joys of him getting laid off from his "real" job the beginning of December . . . whole other story.
We didn't have a sitter, so I fed the kids their dinner so they could leave us be (wishful thinking) and Dave picked up dinner from Market Street for us. He also indulged in a mini chocolate cake . . . justifying that it was only $2 more than a slice. What a bargain shopper my man is.
We enjoyed in peace, except for Lillie enjoying too . . . that baby has great taste in food! Then Dave brought out the piece de resistance, the chocolate cake.

I swear the boys could smell it from downstairs and swooped in like a couple of vultures!

Lillie was already in place to claim it for her own . . . look at the way she savours every lick! I have to say she was right, delish. Pure chocolate heaven!

Ohhh...I love Market Street. When I worked at The Grand we used to get invited to free "Test Dinners" so we would promote their restaurant to hotel guests. MMMMM....twist my arm, right? Love those cute pictures of L enjoying the cake!
