Because it's against our religion, we don't drink coffee (among other things and I'm not posting this as a religious statement and by no means a judgement).
Lillie knows this, maybe not fully understanding why.
After my mom politely declined an invitation for us to sample some coffee at Sam's Club yesterday, Lillie looked at me and said, "Coffee is for Jesus. Coffee is for Santa Claus." Apparently she's made up in her 4 yr. old mind that coffee must be too special for us. As sacrilegious as it may sound, it made my mom and I laugh. It made us laugh hard.
For our friends and family who do drink coffee, you are right up there with Jesus and Santa!

She would have understood that.
