A Month (or so) In Pictures

This is our gamer – Wii, Plug ‘n Play and what he terms “show games”, games on the computer from the various kiddie cable stations or preschool TV show websites. I have to set timers, he’d play all day and all night if he were old enough to choose!

Lillie has been born with the instinct to wrestle – boys watch out! Give her another year and she’ll be taking you down – with her crazy hair and all!

Oh how we miss Liz – this was her third day, day she left and the first day Lillie wasn’t crying for a parent – I’m so glad the kids cooperated for this picture.

From God’s hands, to her hands, to ours – that’s why she’ll always be our hero. And when he’s an unruly teenager, maybe she’ll be able to talk some sense into him!

Aunt Janell visiting while in town on business – she met Malcolm and Lillie for the first time – Lillie has stranger anxiety and was just a bit leary.

We were lucky enough that it was Aunt Janell’s birthday – the boys were excited to sing to her and eat cake & icecream!

Jesse had been learning about opposites and they had a dress-up opposite day at his preschool – his teacher thought we were pretty creative sending him in his swimsuit and flip-flops – in the dead of winter – he loved it!

Getting there – an inch or so more length, small elastics and we’ll have pigtails! It is fun having a girl – although I do love my boys’ curly hair!

I HAD to get the bow – then found the perfect dress, paired with white tights and shiny white shoes and she was adorable! Modeling here in her Bebe Pod seat – she wants so bad to sit-up. Hates being on her tummy and really doesn’t rollover unless she’s put on her tummy – but insists on sitting up!

Don’t worry, it wasn’t yellow and no, I don’t worry about the pollution in the air – it was an experience I remember as a child and what doesn’t kill them . . . Jesse used to chew on any pair of shoes he could quickly get his little chunky hands on!

Jesse kept throwing the snow right in Malcolm’s face – one day Malcolm will be big enough to have Jesse face first in a snow bank – Warning Jesse!

We had this wonderfully huge blizzard – it blew a huge drift onto our rather sheltered patio. Since we couldn’t get out of the parking lot to get to church, we stayed home and the boys played until their fingers were frozen, came in thawed and then it would start over again – it was nice, I sat and watched through the window.

This is my closet pacifier user – he never used as a baby and when Lillie came along and was “using” he decided to see what the draw was – I don’t think he’s figured it out yet. Most he’s claimed have made it to the car and this night we were on our way home after a USU Basketball game – I guess he needed a little comfort.

She’s a Maniac, Maniac on the (dance) Floor – my ode to the late 80’s early 90’s, yes, I too have worn one – I couldn’t believe I even found these to buy for her!

Malcolm telling our good friend Val – we miss her so much – about tripping and falling into the arm of the futon and getting a nice goose-egg and bruise on his forehead. I thought for sure he had split his head or fractured his skull when I heard the crack – since there wasn’t blood and he didn’t fall asleep, I didn’t feel a need to seek medical attention. He felt much better with a dose of Motrin and a corndog!

I rarely have the opportunity to take a picture of all three kids together and being pretty willing to cooperate – I’m still trying to figure out if Lillie’s evil-eye is directed at me or her brothers. Speaking of her eye, the right one, she had a visit with the Pediatric Ophthamologist because of a concern her Physical Therapist had that possible vertical misalignment was causing her Torticallis (head tilt). Nope, just a bit of intermittent Esotropia that the Ophthamologist wants to reassess in three months – in case that turns into more of an issue. She’s been our medically challenged child so far.

So my almost two year old insists on dressing himself, except for putting on his diaper and tying his shoes – unless I come up with a real good distraction. If we have to be somewhere quick, I must plan on him being fully dressed at least an hour before – it will be lovely when he’s more coordinated and quicker. This was on a Sunday, after church, before I could lay his clothes out right side up, so he could basically slide into them. What’s hard to tell is that the sweatpants are on backwards too! It was quite comical to see him walking down the hallway. He’s a complete opposite of Jesse – my family teased me, just before Malcolm was born, I was still doing everything; feeding, dressing and changing diapers on my almost three year old Jesse – how was I going to do this for two and take care of myself? Well, Jesse learned – he was a bit stubborn about it – Malcolm just always did it.

I mentioned in a previous blog that I had what I thought was a really cool picture of Bubba blowing out his birthday candles. Caught in the act of the actual blowing – this may prove that sometimes he is full of (hot) air! Oh I do love him so!

Now I am caught up! I will recommit to this blogging thing - really I have been busy with the THREE kids and work. I am still working, but it's been promised that will end soon - my severence package has been ordered.
