My House is so Quite

This is how Sunday afternoons should be, quite. I am enjoying a brief moment of silence, except for the sound of the air conditioner. Dave, Malcolm and Lillie are all crashed out on my bed - the babies should be coming to the end of their nap any moment. Jesse is playing Wii - the "Wall-e" game we rented.
I am looking forward to this holiday week - can I tell you that I am just so grateful to be an American and living in America. I am grateful for those who fought and continue to fight for my freedoms. I hope I can instill in my kids the same patriotism my parent instilled in me. How blessed I truly am.
Lillie is having surgery on her eye this coming Thursday and because of that we aren't planning on participating in any holiday events. I'm hoping to take the laid back opportunity to teach my boys more about our country. Maybe next year the holiday will mean more to them.
